How this count works
Same date, elapsed: 0. Same date, inclusive: 1. Consecutive dates, elapsed: 1; inclusive: 2. If the end date is earlier, the duration stays absolute and a direction sentence names how many days the end lies before the start. Inputs are not swapped unless you press Swap Dates.
February 28, 2024 to March 1, 2024 is 2 elapsed days because 2024 is a leap year. The same pair in 2025 is 1 elapsed day. Full weeks on this page are seven-day bundles, not Monday-aligned calendar weeks.
